We’re located in the village of Cartmel, on Cartmel Park, LA11 6QF.

To get here from the M6, take junction 36 and follow the signs for A590, Barrow in Furness until you reach the turn-off for High Newton at the top of Lindale Hill, where you will also see a sign for Cartmel Priory and pick up our event signage. Please be courteous to other road users on the narrow lanes around Cartmel village

Coming by train? There’s a free circular shuttle bus to the showfield from Cark train station

FAQs

Parking

There’s FREE parking for all and limited disabled parking for blue badge holders. Parking is located on Seven Acres field which is a short walk from the Showground and will be signposted from the roads leading into Cartmel Village.

Free bus from Cark Railway station

There’s a free shuttle bus from Cark train station starting at 9.30am with the last one leaving the showground at 6pm prompt.

Mobility Scooters

There’s limited disabled parking for blue badge holders, but we don’t offer mobility scooter hire.

Opening times

Gates open at 8.30am.

Dogs

Dogs are allowed into the Show as long as they are kept on a lead at all times and are cleaned up after. If dogs are left in cars and are deemed to be distressed, a public address announcement will be made, and failure to respond may result in the dog being released.

Food & Drink

There are plenty of food and drink caterers located around the showground including tea and coffee refreshments, ice cream, lunch snacks and alcoholic beverages in our public bar. There is also a lunch marquee

Cash Machines

There are no cash machines on the Showground, so please bring enough cash with you for the day. Many of our trade stall holders will have card machines but this is not guaranteed

Toilets

There are toilets located around the showfield.
